In Threes...

I'm working on a new triptych (in celadon green, of course) on long, narrow wood panels. Thought I would share some of my early trio works. You'll notice I can't get away from circles or a dreamy blue-green. Sometimes a girl's just gotta have some circles...

Early attempt at creating underlayers of color and translucency by ironing wax then pigment then wax.

This was a triptych made in Cari Hernandez's encaustics class. I learned a ridiculous amount about technique and material use in her class. Check her out at carihernandez.com.
